Abanachee Loop features 4 miles of hiking trails near Old Forge, NY.
from behind the health center, go straight up. find the loops and ribbons markers or not so well marked. the trail goes up and you are about at the top when you find the old truck that used to run the ski lift, the summit is just ahead. go over the summit, to the left takes you deeper, to the right, back to the old ski hill and a short, but fun down hill run.<br />many trails connect with this network, directly or indirectly, including Nick's Lake, McCauley mountain, and the snowmobile trails- dirt roads beginner etc.<br />
